Southmead Development Trust

What we do

The Southmead Development Trust supports residents in the communities of Southmead and North Bristol.  We run the Greenway Centre, Southmead Youth Centre, and Southmead Adventure Playground (‘The Ranch’). We work in partnership with community groups, other charities, organisations and businesses to raise funds and manage projects and services which increase opportunities, reduce isolation, and promote wellbeing.  We are governed by a Board of Trustees who are local residents.

Southmead Youth Centre

In partnership with Creative Youth Network our Youth Team runs a weekly programme for young people.  The Centre also offers a fully equipped gym including Boxing Club facilities, and spaces for hire.

Southmead Adventure Playground

Southmead Development Trust manages the Southmead Adventure Playground (‘The Ranch’), working with Bristol Playbus to provide play sessions for young people. The playground has spaces for hire, including a soft play, five a side football pitch, and large playground.
