The cookies we use are listed here with the information on their function which we have obtained from the service provider. The need for many of these cookies arise from embedded features on SDT’s websites.

These are for SDT’s two websites and

Service provider Name of cookie  Purpose
IDE Used by Google DoubleClick to register and report the website user’s actions after viewing or clicking one of the advertiser’s ads with the purpose of measuring the efficacy of an ad and to present targeted ads to the user
Google 1P_JAR These cookies are used to gather website statistics, and track conversion rates.
Google NID The NID cookie contains a unique ID Google uses to remember your preferences and other information, such as your preferred language (e.g. English), how many search results you wish to have shown per page (e.g. 10 or 20), and whether or not you wish to have Google’s SafeSearch filter turned on.



PREF The PREF cookie remembers basic preferences, such as choice of language, format of search results, how to display information, so the visitor don’t need to set preferences each time he use the site



VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE Designed to estimate the users’ bandwidth on pages with integrated YouTube videos.
YSC Registers a unique ID to keep statistics of what videos from YouTube the user has seen.
